Wolves and Foxes are Harmless Would you want to eat frogs or raw caribou meat for breakfast? Well, that means that wolves and foxes don’t harm people as much as they kill animals for food. My goal is to show you that wolves and foxes don’t harm humans as much as they kill other animals. Wolves and foxes do they many things during the day. Wolves sometimes howl before a hunt starts or to find their pack. Sometimes a wolf howls because another pack of wolves came into their territory or just because a lone wolf is walking through. Foxes scavenge around during the day in search of fruit or small mammals. Foxes mostly sleep during the day because they are nocturnal animals. That means that they are more active at night than at day. Wolves and foxes also do many things during the night. Wolves hunt for food or walk around. Some wolves just sleep or mark their territory. Foxes hunt all night because they are active at night and not during the day. Wolves and foxes are scared of us humans. They are scared off the guns that go of when you go hunting or because they are young and they never saw humans before. Some are scared because they don’t know how to defend themselves from danger. Wolves and foxes can defend themselves and others in many ways. Wolves that are male or female protect their young by standing or sitting in front of the den some fight for their babies. The adults fight for protection of others and for themselves by flashing teeth and clawing each other. Wolves and foxes eat many things from squirrels to berries. Wolves also eat deer, cattle, musk ox, fowl, reindeer and roe deer. They even eat dogs! Foxes eat plant material, corn, apples, grasses, frogs, turtles, and voles. Wolves and foxes do many good things for farmers and other people. Wolves and foxes eat rodents like mice, rats, or rabbits that eat the plants. They can even get crows to if they are quiet and fast enough so that they don’t eat the corn. I hope you have learned what foxes and wolves do all day and all night and what they hunt for food and that they barley attack people. I hope you don’t harm foxes or wolves. My goal was to show that they don’t attack people. |
